Qatar Airways returns A380 back into service

Today Qatar Airways returned the first A380 from storage in Doha International Airport to Hamad International Airport after its grounding due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Though it wasn't a commercial flight, a company is planning to bring its biggest aircraft into service in the middle of December.

Routes Qatar Airways gonna fly

According to the air company current schedule, A380 will fly to:

  • London Heathrow 2x daily
  • Paris Charles de Gaulle 1x daily

Both routes start as of December 15, 2021. We guess A380 won't be limited by these routes only and soon Qatar Airways customers may expect further network expansion.

What to expect?

The A380 features a tri-class configuration of seats in First, Business, and Economy classes with an onboard premium lounge. Aircraft equipped with a total of 517 seats, 8 of which are first-class open suites, 48 business class flat-bed seats, and 461 standard seats in Economy. Of course, A380 return means First class return on the routes. Tickets are already on sale!

Qatar Airways has grounded the A380 fleet back in March 2020. Earlier airline's CEO Mr. Akbar Al Baker judged on purchasing this type of aircraft in a negative way due to the market expediency and he wasn't sure about their's future. Nevertheless, we can see superjumbo return and I'm personally glad about it.
